Ami's first concert in China "Genki na Nihon!" Exhibition & Meeting Daily Special Programme "Suzuki Ami Live Stage" to be held on February 19th was cancelled due to Ami being sick.

News report:

On the 15th, Suzuki tweeted, “I’m feeling sick again.” The following day, she saw a doctor who later diagnosed her with chicken pox.

The ‘Genki na Nihon Exhibition’ will be held in Beijing, Shanghai, and Taiwan to commemorate the 40th year of resumed diplomatic relations between Japan and China. On the 17th and 18th, the event will feature a special live by AKB48 and alan. [Source]

Ami's new iPhone app is now available FOR FREE in iTunes Japan Store and App Store. And you can download this application just switching your iTunes Store in iTunes to Japan's store! Just go to the "iTunes Store" tab in iTunes and scroll down till the end of the page, then in the right corner you'll see a circular flag icon of your contry, just click and change it to Japan's flag!

I will explain each section here:

1) Home: ★★✩✩✩ = Just decorative...
Here you have a "mobile version" of Ami's official website. Just the promotional picture and the promotional video always shown in her website.

2) Info: ★★★★✩ = Now this is really useful! (At least for me when I'm bored at class)
This section is divided between "News" and "Schedule" sections, so you can quickly get Ami's latest news on your smart phone.

3) Discography: ★✩✩✩✩ = Nothing useful here.
Just as seen in her official website but you can't even listen to the songs here.

4) Ami Sapuri: ★★★★★ = YES! FINALLY!
I've just downloaded the app in order to test this section really, and I'm so glad I did! Always when Ami's site was updated with some URL linking it to Ami's official fanclub I couldn't get in because Ami Sapuri access was limited to japanese mobile phones only. Now you can get into Ami Sapuri anywhere in the world with this app!

You'll click this section but you just will see a japanese text. If you don't understand japanese just click the blue text which says "「amisapuri for SmartPhone」はこちら".

I tried already to use the same URL on my desktop computer and it doesn't work, so using this application is the only way to get into Ami Sapuri for a foreign fan.

There are 4 sections in Ami Sapuri with contents I've never seen till now!

On the November 4th issue of tabloid magazine, “FRIDAY“, it was reported that actress/singer Suzuki Ami (29) is in a relationship with a non-celebrity man (41).

According to the magazine, the two were seen leaving Suzuki’s apartment together under an umbrella last month. They walked side by side with the man’s arm around her shoulder, and Suzuki’s arm around his waist. On another day, the man spent the night at Suzuki’s apartment after dining with two friends. There are even reports that they vacationed together in Korea and Shodoshima Island in Kagawa.

People close to Suzuki say that her partner is a 5′11″ ‘ikemen’ restaurant worker with an refreshing look. They met through a mutual acquaintance, and started dating around the summer. There are no talks about marriage at the moment.

Suzuki (aka Amigo), who made her debut in 1998, sold over 1.8 million copies of her first album, “SA“. Lately, she’s been expanding her career as a DJ and also as an actress, starring in various dramas and stage plays.

This is the first time her love life has been reported ever since she was rumored to be dating Tackey & Tsubasa’s Takizawa Hideaki (29) back in 2001.

To a requested Sankei Sports interview on the matter, Suzuki’s agency commented, “We let her take care of her own private matters.”

A new TV-CM starring Ami Suzuki has been broadcasted today. The theme of the commercial film is the celebration of Nissei Advance's 10th anniversary.

Nissei company sells mansions and it has been said that Ami was chosen because of her strong image and charm will match perfectly the message that the company aims to deliver to the audience.

This TV-CM is not only her first commercial in 3 years (Since Mr.Donuts Collaboration CD campaign back in 2008) but it also features a brand new song "Title To Be Announced", which is her first brand new song of 2011.

Ami is having her second greatest hits compilation album out this December, but there is no word yet if the CM song will be included on the best album as well.

At the moment it has been announced that the album will include 8 remake songs from her Sony Music era, 1 indie song and 7 songs from Avex Trax (Her current label).

avex artists will be kicking off their live event “a-nation 10th Anniversary for Life Charge & Go! Weider in Jelly” on July 30th. To celebrate, mu-mo will be holding a special project starting on July 29th!

This project will select three random names from a lottery to receive signed goods from TRF, Every Little Thing, Hamasaki Ayumi, Koda Kumi, Do As Infinity, Suzuki Ami, AAA, Goto Maki, GIRL NEXT DOOR, ICONIQ, mihimaru GT, SEAMO, Tohoshinki, hitomi and moumoon.

In addition, mu-mo will be selling singles from avex artists for half the price until August 31st! Fans shouldn’t miss this chance to download their favorite artists’ biggest hits and new songs.

Furthermore, this years’ “a-nation for life” will naturally include regulars like Hamasaki Ayumi, Koda Kumi, and Every Little Thing. AKB48 and their sub-units DiVA, Not yet, French Kiss and Itano Tomomi will also be there as well.

A very special date is being added to this year a-nation festival. Nicofarre, a popular music club which was closed 4 years ago is opening its doors to the public again this month. Nicofarre's inaguration schedule includes a 2 days live in which a-nation artists take over the stage and music performances are going to be streamed live through Nico Nico Douga as well (The same site that streamed Ami's 29th anniversary 5 months ago). Tickets are already sold out.

Takahashi Ai, current Morning Musume leader and admittedly a Maki fangirl, was caught off guard by the sudden news of Maki's hiatus at a BS-TBS / Android press conference. When asked about Maki's announcement she said she "didn't know" about it and quickly left the room. Whether she is or isn't allowed to speak about it remains unclear.

Fujimoto Miki commented first at a Match.com press conference, later on her blog that "The news surprised me. Maki, Aya and I have been very close since the Gomattou days, but I still have to talk to her about this", adding that "I understand her feelings. I filled my life with marriage. I'm sure she'll find her thing".

Suzuki Ami, who met Maki during the ASAYAN auditions over a decade ago and have since become close friends, commented on her Twitter that "Fans will surely be shocked but I understand Maki. Working since a young age, she deserves all the happiness. I want to see her grow up as a beautiful lady".

An insider said "Avex desperately tried to persuade her not to go on hiatus, but Maki's retirement will is strong. Her lost will be a heavy blow for the company". Another producer stated that "It has nothing to do with the sales. Avex has other artists selling around 10K and they are still under contract. They really care about Maki". Several co-workers who know Maki well coincide that "It's her will. She has yet to overcome her mother's death. She needs the break".

In July details will be revealed on single, album and tour prior to her indefinite hiatus starting January 2012.
