Who's Ami Suzuki?

Ami Suzuki is a japanese singer-songwriter, DJ and actress.

Being a 15 years old student she auditioned to popular talent-show ASAYAN and made it to the final, winning the grand prize (A contract with Sony Music) with over 800,000 phone calls from the audience supporting her.

She debuted in 1998 with legendary japanese producer Tetsuya Komuro. Her fast-rising popularity made her sold over 1.5 million copies in her first year of work. At the end of the year she won Japan Gold Disc Awards' Best Newcomer Artist Award, beating Japan's best-selling female artist; Ayumi Hamasaki.

To date she has released 11 albums overall and has reached Oricon's Weekly #1 spot multiple times.
